Studio Kamel
Our Story
A creative sanctuary born from a passion for movement, dedicated to nurturing artists and building community through the transformative power of dance.
How It All Began
From a Dream to a Movement
Studio Kamel was founded in 2010 by Elena Vasquez, a contemporary dancer who envisioned a space where artistry and community could flourish side by side. What began as a small studio with just three classes has blossomed into one of the most respected dance institutions in the city.
Our name, “Kamel,” draws inspiration from the Arabic word for “perfection” — a tribute to Elena's heritage and the studio's commitment to helping every dancer strive toward their personal best, whatever that may look like.
Over the years, we've grown into a vibrant collective of over 20 instructors, each bringing their own unique perspective and passion. From toddlers taking their first plies to seasoned professionals refining their craft, our community spans every age and every level.
